Product DescriptionOverview:
An ultrasonic flow meter is a type of flow meter that measures the velocity of a fluid with ultrasound to calculate volume flow. The working principle is based upon the Frequency shift or Doppler Effect of an ultrasonic signal when it is reflected by suspended particles or gas bubbles i.e. discontinuities in motion. The discontinuities reflect the ultrasonic wave with a somewhat different frequency which is directly proportional to the rate of flow of the fluid. Ultrasonic flow meters are affected by the acoustic properties of the fluid and can be impacted by temperature, density, viscosity and suspended particulates depending on the exact flow meter. Ultrasonic flow meters vary greatly in purchase price but are often inexpensive to using and maintaining because they do not use moving parts, unlike mechanical flow meters. And this is the main reason of the population of ultrasonic flow meter.
Operating Principle: Ultrasonic flow meters can be divided into the Doppler Effect method, the Transit time method (time difference method, the phase difference and frequency difference), the beam deflection method, correlation method, and the noise method. Currently, in the field of industrial measuring, ultrasonic flow meters can be categorized into following two types: (1)Doppler Effect method
