What are some of the key features of the Contours Collection and their PRO Mesh Jersey ($150 USD)?

While I’m a full proponent of cycling socks and shoes beyond white and black, my choice in shorts have stayed resolutely black and more black. So I’ve enjoyed putting my legs into the Camp Green version of these shorts for a bit more splash

What are some of the key features?

Overall, I’ve ridden the Contours kit on several 2-3 h gravel rides in Ontario summer heat and humidity, and they’ve performed comfortably and well with no noticeable irritation. The ventilation on the jersey is terrific even on rides where I’ve deliberately kept it fully zipped throughout. I like the long inseam length and the bib legs have stayed in place.

Wahoo KICKR HEADWIND Bluetooth Fan – Blow Your Mind!

Right in your face – and the rest of your body too

Alastair Hamilton PEZ sez: Of all my bits of indoor training equipment, I would say that the Wahoo KICKR HEADWIND is by far the most important. Yes, the smart trainer is the most important thing, but a good fan is a must for RGT, Zwift etc. Before the Headwind arrived, I was using an old fashioned propellor fan on a stand, it worked, but it was either too windy or not strong enough. That is certainly not the problem with the Headwind.

It doesn’t take up much room either

A few years ago, indoor training was just for the winter months, but the advantage of home training is the ability to train more scientifically on the smart trainer with a power meter, when you might not have one on your bike. Plus, being able to jump on the trainer for an hour when it fits in with work and family life, is a luxury.

Very well designed cable holder and carrying handle

South of the equator, it’s the winter, but even in the US and Europe at this time of year, you still get wet days when you don’t want to go out. Here in Spain there is the added problem of it being TOO hot, especially in the middle of the day and if you have to write Tour de France race reports, an evening ride is out of the question.

The full set – Headwind and Climb

So how good is it? Very! And now that I have used it, I couldn’t do without. As much as I like the Wahoo KICKR Climb, I could live without the front of the bike going up and down. The Headwind is controllable from the app on your mobile phone, which is very useful, but I preferred the setting that controls the speed of the airflow with your heart rate. It can also be controlled by your virtual speed, this I wasn’t so sure of as you want more cooling when climbing, which would be at a lower speed. Great on a flat, fast ride, but not for the hills. The shape of the Headwind directs the air straight at you, it’s your own little wind tunnel.

The Headwind is controllable form your phone

The bottom line is that you need a fan for indoor training, so why not get a good one that is made for the job.

Ekoï launches the New Israel-Premier Tech Special Tour de France kit

After the special Giro jersey promoting the Abruzzo wine region, Ekoï is accompanying the Israel-Premier Tech team for an exclusive edition of the Tour de France 2023, highlighting the partnership with the country’s Ministry of Tourism, who wishes to present Israel as a tourist destination with many destinations to discover.

Designed by Élie Desgreniers, designer at Premier-Tech, and produced by Ekoï, the jersey’s design is inspired by the Israel National Trail: the walking and cycling path that stretches from Kibbutz Dan in the north to Eilat in the south. The special Tour de France jersey, in a beautiful range of colours, promotes this major Israeli tourist attraction covering more than a thousand kilometres.
